Update on council housing construction plans

An update on Tipperary Co Council's housing construction programme in the Nenagh Municipal District was provided at the July district meeting. 

In Cloughjordan village, the council is constructing two houses and the contractor is on site; Mulkear View, Newport, 11 houses at Stage 4 (review of tender returns in advance of contract award) submission with the Department of Housing; Borrisokane, 16 houses, contractor on site; Portroe, 14 houses, appointing contractor at present; Cormack Drive, Nenagh, 12 houses, appointing contractor at present; Ardcroney, four houses, Part 8 (public consultation) currently being prepared.

Meanwhile, Banner Housing Association has completed the purchase of a property at Cnoc Ard, Ballina.

Nenagh Voluntary  Housing Association is completing the purchase of eight units in the town at Drummin Village.
