Meet the Lakeshore Ladies!

The Lakeshore Ladies group was founded in February and its aims are:　

* Providing social activities for women in the area around Lough Derg (Terryglass/Kilbarron and surrounding areas)

* Meeting twice monthly for social occasions and get-togethers

* Organising outings to cultural, historical or other venues, which might be of interest

* Providing social contact among women, especially in rural areas where choice of activities is very limited

* Organising a wide variety of activities to cover many interests　

* Providing information on classes/courses organised by similar groups in the area

After the lifting of travel restricton we managed two socially-distanced outdoor activities since July - a forest walk and picnic at Portumna Forest Park, and last week's day, which started with coffee/tea at the SCEAL Community Shop in Lorrha, followed by a very informative historical walk in Lorrha (tour guided by James Heenan, who took the picture), finished by a fascinating tour at Redwood Castle.
