Nenagh band Cloud 404 releasing their third single this Friday

A catchy hip-hop track with a clever dance beat, 'City Lights' is the third single from Nenagh trio Cloud 404.

Due for release this Friday, August 28th, the new song is radio-friendly and likely to fetch widespread appeal while still underscored by the band's ethereal quality. Cloud 404 - Tedis Stumbrs (lead vocals), Ronan O'Brien (drums) and David Hynes (bass) – formed last year with a drive to create hip-hop music with the use of live instruments. The band's name is derived from "being so high that you can't be found", which is a reference both to having one's head in the clouds and the 'error 404: webpage not found' message.
Influenced by the likes of Frank Ocean, Khalid, Kanye West and Outkast, Cloud 404 made for an enjoyable and energetic live show experience. But the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic put paid to all that. Like so many music acts, they've lost out on a lot of gigs that they had booked for this year and are so pursuing new means of promoting their music.

The follow-up to 2019's 'Blue Moons' and '9LIFE' from earlier this year, 'City Lights' was written and produced by the Nenagh lads themselves. The new track was mixed and mastered by Jam Studios in Kells and the artwork was produced by Eleys Graphics of Edinburgh.

'City Lights' got its first radio play last Saturday week when Spin South West featured it on the station's Saturday morning show. It will be available from Friday on all major streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, etc) and available for purchase on iTunes, Amazon, Google.

The Nenagh band is hoping that people will follow them on Spotify in anticipation of the new release; see also their social media platforms @cloud404music.
