Deputy Jackie Cahill: 'This is good news for Tipperary education today.'

Funding for Nenagh CBS Primary

Deputy Jackie Cahill has confirmed that the CBS Primary School in Nenagh has been approved for funding under the Emergency Works Scheme. This funding will be used to allow for external environmental works to be completed around the school.

Commenting on this good news today, the Tipperary Fianna Fáil TD said: “I am delighted to receive confirmation from Minister Foley this afternoon that the CBS Primary in Nenagh has had its funding application approved. This funding has been approved under the Emergency Works Scheme and will allow for external environmental projects to be completed.

“More information will be made available from the department once the tender process is complete, including the value of funding secured and this is normal practice for an application such as this. This is good news for Tipperary education today. I thank the Fianna Fáil Minister for working with me on numerous schools projects in Tipperary. Fianna Fáil has a proud tradition of investing in education and I am glad to see this continue with this Government.”

“I would also like to congratulate school principal William Greene and management on a successful application,” Deputy Cahill concluded.
