Nenagh Military History Facebook group
Interested in the history of Nenagh? The military history of the town from centuries ago until the later twentieth century? The men and women of Nenagh Parish who served in the military in any sort of capacity? Nenagh has a strong military tradition going back centuries.
A Facebook group entitled ‘Nenagh Military History’ has been established to gather and share all the stories, history and facts of the military of the town. These include British army regiments stationed in Summerhill Military Barracks, Nenagh during the First World War, soldier families of the town, photographs, letters, books related to the town, websites, etc. Anyone is welcome to join to just read the posts, comment on them or even post some information themselves to share among with the group. With over 550 members so far, it continues to grow daily, with new unknown information of the town being revealed every day. Feel free to share the group to your family, friends, relatives, neighbours and anyone you think would be interested.
