Under 14 Boys team

Nenagh Warriors Basketball back on the court

There was a special milestone for Nenagh Warriors Basketball Club recently, as the club hosted their first indoor games in Nenagh in over twenty months since the Covid-19 pandemic began.

There were four club teams in action, the U14 Boys & Girls, and U16 Boys & Girls teams. The teams played clubs from across the North Munster region, with Tipp Talons, Limerick Lions and Morning Star travelling to Nenagh for the games.

There was mixed success for the Nenagh Warriors teams, with the U16 Boys victorious against Limerick Lions, and the U14 Girls winning against Morning Star, while the U16 Girls lost 32-34 in a highly entertaining game against Morning Star and the U14 Boys were defeated by Tipp Talons.

A massive well done to all who represented the club, in particular all those making their debuts.

A very special thanks has to be given to St Mary’s Convent Secondary School, who have allowed us to use their facility for our training and matches. We are very lucky and grateful, given the shortage of halls faced by basketball clubs across the country at present.

The club would like to thank everyone who has supported our fundraising raffle so far and we look forward to holding the draw in the coming weeks. Just a reminder to everyone to please return their tickets by October 30th.
