Bríd Kenny and The Noise play Nenagh

Local singer-songwriter Bríd Kenny will perform at The Talbot Bar in Nenagh with her band The Noise this Friday night, April 8.

They will be playing a gig of original songs that they have been working on for the last couple of months.

Bríd is an indie folk singer-songwriter from the town of Nenagh and currently residing in Galway city. With popular musical influences including the likes of Dolores O'Riordan, Damien Rice, Glen Hansard and David Keenan, she has recorded several releases of her own including her excellent EP ‘Doorway’ and single ‘I Don't Think’.

Bríd's music has been described as “an endearing concoction of insightful lyrics, melancholic trance-like guitar melodies and powerful vocals”. She has recently formed a band with a group of skilled musicians, bringing her sound to much more dynamic and mature place. Accompanying Bríd at The Talbot will be Ella Partington (fiddle), Donnacha O’Dwyer (lead guitar), Tadhg Kelly (drums) and Martin O’Neill (bass). The band's influences include The Cranberries, Damien Rice and The Frames.

Bríd will give a solo performance at 9.50pm and will be joined by the full band at 10.50pm. Free admission.
