Broadband delivery in Nenagh district

The March meeting of Nenagh Municipal District was informed of the following estimated connection timeframes for local areas under the National Broadband Plan: Ballinderry, January 2025 - December 2026; Hollyford, January 2025 - December 2026; Nenagh, January 2023 - December 2024; Newport, January 2025 - December 2026; Roscrea, October 2022 - December 2022.

Every individual premises covered by the National Broadband Plan – State Intervention in County Tipperary will be surveyed to ensure that a detailed delivery plan is prepared for each and every home and business.

The high-speed Broadband Connection Point (BCP) delivery programme is well underway and the following BCPs have been connected: Curreeney Community Hall, Aglish Community Hall, Killoscully Community Centre, The Pavillion, Ballinderry; Ballinahinch Community Centre, Boher Parish Hall, Terryglass Community Hall, Latteragh Community Centre, North Tipperary Food Works in Rearcross (not yet connected).

Nenagh town is one of six designated locations in Co Tipperary to be included in the European Commission Free Wifi4EU Network, with 14 access points to free WiFi services.
