Series of thefts in Nenagh district

Gardaí are investigating another catalytic converter theft, which was reported at a business premises in Nenagh last Tuesday week. Gardaí are warning that thefts of this nature are on the increase and are urging people to be vigilant.

Car parts were stolen from a yard just outside Toomevara village between Friday and Saturday last. In a similar incident, items were stolen from a yard at Dungar, Roscrea, around 11pm last Wednesday. Gardaí arrived at the scene and the suspects fled.

A vehicle was reported stolen in the Roscrea area in early hours of Saturday last. Gardaí in Birr observed the vehicle being driven dangerously; they stopped it and arrested two suspects, one of whom has been charged with the unauthorised taking of the vehicle.

On Monday gardaí joined emergency services in responding to a traffic accident at the Clare St junction in Nenagh. The road was closed for a period while the scene was assessed.
