Hazardous waste collection for Tipperary

Tipperary Co Council is to hold a hazardous waste collection in the coming months.

Director of Services Clare Curley told this month's meeting of the council that people would be able dispose of items such as paint and oil free of charge.

The initiative would be similar to successful mattress amnesty, and Ms Curley hoped it would result in less illegal dumping of such waste.
