Nenagh Lions Club golf fundraiser returns

Following the Covid restrictions for the past few years we are glad to announce the return of Nenagh Lions Club Annual Golf Champagne Scramble at Nenagh Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday, July 2 and 3.

The proceeds from our annual golf outings go towards the funding of local charities who are actively involved in local community work and in promoting the personal health and well being of people throughout North Tipperary. This year our main recipient for such funding is CARMHA whose members offer free counselling and peer support services for people with co-existing addiction and mental health issues. For people in need of help and advice in such areas we invite them to visit CARMHA at Loreto House, Kenyon Street, Nenagh.

Nenagh Lions Club appeals to all golfing enthusiasts from local and surrounding golf clubs to support this very worthy golf outing. Our annual charity event has become a very popular and fun occasion in the local golfing calendar.

The format is a Champagne Scramble involving teams of four (any combination) with usual rules applying.

The main sponsor of the event is Mack Engineering while the prizes are kindly donated by Breo Jewellers and Jim McLoughney Menswear all of whose generosity is much appreciated. In addition to the team winner prizes there is also a free draw for all entrants for a number of spot prizes also kindly donated. Refreshments will be served on the 11th tee.

The timesheet will be available online. You may also contact Nenagh Golf Club (067) 31476 Ext 2 or phone Tom Doheny at 087 2132241.

Entry fee is €80 per team. Presentation of prizes will take place on Sunday July 3rd at 9 pm approximately in the clubhouse.

Nenagh Lions Club asks for your support for this cause and express our sincere thanks to the general public for all your generosity for this and other events such as the Christmas Food Appeal over the years.
