Nenagh hospital Injury Unit to re-open tomorrow morning (Thursday)

The Injury Unit at Nenagh hospital will re-open tomorrow, Thursday July 28th. The unit remains closed today (Wednesday) due to the continued impact on staffing arising from unexpected leave.

Operating as normal from 8am-8pm tomorrow, patients can contact the Injury Unit with queries on 067-42311. People who need treatment for minor injuries today should instead attend the Injury Units at St John’s Hospital, Limerick, or Ennis hospital.

We apologise to any patient who has been inconvenienced by today’s closure. The decision was taken to ensure patient safety, which we strive to protect at all times. No other services at Nenagh have been impacted.

The Injury Unit in St John’s Hospital is open seven days, 8am-7pm, and can be contacted on 061-462303. The Ennis hospital unit is open 8am-8pm and can be contacted on 065-6863121.

We urge people with minor injuries not to attend the Emergency Department at UHL. However, if you or someone else is seriously ill or needs urgent emergency care, please do not delay going to the ED at UHL, or dialling 999/112 for help.
