Green light for ecovillage plan
Tipperary Co Council has granted conditional planning permission for a number of new features at Cloughjordan Ecovillage.
Sustainable Projects Ireland CLG has been given the go-ahead for installation of a streetlighting network comprising lighting columns and fixtures above and below ground level, and all ancillary works. The erection of two pedestrian footbridges and associated foundations is also included in the plan, as is complete road turning bays and construction of traffic ramps to taken-in-charge standards, and complete road signage and road markings to taken-in-charge standards.
The ecovillage plan furthermore includes repair of identified existing footpaths/greenways, erection of security fencing around the wastewater treatment plant, erection of security fencing around the sewage pumping station, connection of watermain at Step Road entrance, and installation of tarmacadam at the Step Road entrance, together with all ancillary works.
