The St Patrick, which for many years operated on the Shannon, will be in attendance with other barges at Kilgarvan Angling Club, Kilbarron, on Saturday.

Heritage Week events - Friday, August 19, in Kilbarron Hall, 7.30 to 9pm - remembering those who emigrated from the parish, through story music song and dance.

Saturday, August 20, at Kilgarvan, 2 to 4pm - The Return of the Barges - see the barges, view photo exhibition, sample list of goods that came into the area by barge and hear the history of Kilgarvan and the impact the Shannon had on the area.
