There was double podium success for Tipperary at the National Track & Field League finals in Tullamore on Sunday.
The Tipperary Women’s team won silver medals in the Premier Division. This was an outstanding performance by this very young squad with a blend of experience that withstood the test over the twenty disciplines of track and field athletics.
Tipperary accumulated 107 points, to finish second, five points behind DSD Dublin on 112 points. Galway were third on 97 points. This was an improvement of 17 points on last year.
In the men’s premier division, Nenagh Olympic AC claimed the bronze medals. This is the clubs first time medalling in the Premier division, and were just three points off the silver.
