Nenagh AFC enjoy back-to-back wins

TWO sides looking to get off the mark met when Nenagh hosted Coonagh Utd on Thursday evening last.
The Tipperary side showed plenty of promise in their first couple of games and it all clicked into place when goals from Matt Spain (two), Kieran O'Brien and Dylan Morrison secured an impressive win. Ger Myles replied for Coonagh Utd.

Nenagh bounced back from a couple of defeats in their opening games to record back-to-back wins. They picked up the points in style with another win on Sunday when they overran a young Janesboro XI by five goals.
Matt O'Gorman was the hero of the morning, scoring three of his side’s goals. Matt Spain and Alan Sheehan were also on the mark for the winners.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, Fairview went three points clear at the top of the table with a 5-0 win over Regional. Striker Conor Ellis score a hat trick.
Ballynanty Rvs beat Aisling while Coonagh and Mungret played out a 1-1 draw.
It was a mixed bag for Newport. On Tuesday, two goals by Jay Ryan gave them a 2-0 win at Moyross.
On Saturday, Premier A League joint leaders Geraldines pulled off a superb comeback to pip Newport for the points. Jay Ryan and Brian O'Sullivan saw Newport race into a two-goal lead within five minutes. Jason Hughes pulled one back for the Dines but Darren Collins restored Newport’s two goal lead by half time.
Two goals from Kane Connolly after the break restored parity and the visitors snatched the points when Trevor Hogan struck the winner.
Nenagh B
It proved a great week for Nenagh B in Division 2A. They posted the result of the day beating a fancied Aisling Annacotty 4-1. Goals from Diarmuid Fitzpatrick, Marcin Kolkowski, Kieran O’Brien and an own goal were answered by Kyle Brogan’s reply.
They followed up that victory, taking another three points with a 3-0 win at Kilmallock. Diarmuid Fitzpatrick was again on the mark, claiming two while Nistor Toderici also netted.
The Under 17 League kicked off on Friday and Newport beat Annacotty B 3-1 with scores from Shane Flanagan (two) and Ciaran Carey.
On Sunday the Youth side beat league leaders Granville Rgs 3-1 thanks to a hat-trick from Jamie Kavanagh.
