Padraic Maher to launch memoir

By Shane Brophy

Former Tipperary and Thurles Sarsfields hurling star Padraic Maher will launch his memoir ‘All on the Line’ this Thursday, 10th November at the Anner Hotel, Thurles.

Maher has not wasted time in penning his story, after being forced into sudden retirement earlier this year after sustaining a serious neck injury but has since joined the Tipperary senior management as a selector under Liam Cahill for 2023.

Padraig Maher enjoyed a stellar hurling career, winning three All-Ireland medals and six All-Stars with Tipperary at senior level off the back of winning one under 21 and two minor All-Ireland’s at underage.

With Thurles Sarsfields, he won seven county titles and one Munster club championship in 2012.

The launch event gets underway at 7:00pm on Thursday, where he will be joined by GAA stars Eoin Kelly, Tommy Walsh from Kilkenny, and Cork’s Patrick Horgan for an in-conversation event.
