Christmas Day Run in Nenagh

After a break of two years due to the restrictions of the pandemic, the annual Christmas Day Charity Run returns to Nenagh this festive season.

The event, now running (pun intended) for over 40 years, was first started by Nenagh's Tony Hassett who has been in charge over all the years and is again appealing to everyone to turn up this year.

The run is held over the old Dromin Road circuit, a favourite with local runners for many decades. Stretching over almost four miles, there will be a bucket collection on the day and the funds generated will be presented, as has been the tradition, to the Nenagh Day Care Centre.

There will be spot prizes galore on the day, and what better way to build up a good appetite for the festive dinner than to take part in the run.

You don't have to be a runner to take part in this highly popular event. Walkers and cyclists are welcome too.

The event starts at 11am at the CBS grounds in Summerhill. We hope to see you there.
