Second tractor run in memory of Patrick
Ballina fundraising event taking place on December 18
The second Patrick McKeogh Memorial Tractor Run will set out from Ballina on Sunday, December 18.
Over 150 tractors were involved in the inaugural event last year - making it the biggest tractor run in the Mid-West. It was held in memory of Patrick McKeogh (16) of Inchadrinagh, who died in an accident on the family farm that summer. The event was a fitting tribute to Patrick, a Third Year student at St Anne’s Community College in Killaloe, who loved farming.
This year's tractor run is being held in aid of the Irish Heart Foundation and Milford Hospice. The tractors will set out from the GAA field in Ballina at 1pm, cross the bridge into Killaloe and head for O'Brien's Bridge before looping back via Castleconnell and Birdhill to finish at McKeogh's Hardware in Ballina.
There will be bucket collections in Ballina and at various stages on the route, and there is still time to sponsor the event - contact Aaron Hunt at 083 4834274 (after 4pm) or Martin McKeogh during the day at 087 2778572.
A GoFundMe page has also been set up, and donations can also be made at BIC: IPBSIE2D; IBAN: IE52IPBS99066033034776.
