Under 21 'A' Hurling Championship: Congratulations to Borris-Ileigh who claimed their fifth North Under 21 ‘A’ Hurling title last Sunday in Templederry after an exciting 1-20 to 2-15 extra time win over a gallant Kiladangan side. See match report.

Borris-Ileigh captain JD Devaney collected the Michael Delaney Cup after the game from North Board Chairperson and fellow club man, Micheal Tierney. This is Borris-Ileigh’s fifth win at this grade after previous victories in 1969, 1987, 1988 and 1997. Thanks to Templederry Kenyons who had the pitch in excellent conditions and to Philip Kelly and his team of match officials.

Under 21 'B' Hurling Championship: The semi-finals of the North Under 21 'B' Hurling Championship took place last Sunday.

In Moneygall, Lorrha Rovers had a 1-22 to 1-15 extra time win over Moneygall/Clonakenny while in the second semi-final in Kilcolman, Burgess recorded a 2-11 to 0-12 win over Kilruane MacDonaghs. See match reports. The final between Lorrha Rovers and Burgess will take place on St Stephens’ Day, Monday 26th December in Roscrea at 12 noon.

Entry to the final via ticket tap and go system or tickets which are available to purchase on the Tipperary GAA website. Entry is €5 with U16s free.

Burgess will be looking to win their fourth title at this grade having previously won in 1988, 1997 and 1998.

Lorrha (as a standalone club) have won the North Under 21 ‘B’ Hurling titles twice – 1983 and 2017. Knockshegowna and Shannon Rovers joined forces to win the title in 2009 as Shannon Rovers Gaels. Shannon Rovers have won the title as a standalone club on three previous occasions – 1981, 1986 and 1990.
