Exciting schedule announced for St Patrick’s Festival

Over 700 children to hear patron saint’s story in Nenagh Castle

Following on from the success of 2022, Nenagh’s St Patricks Day celebrations return next week, bigger and better than ever!

With an artisan market, three stages, live music, singing and dancing, it promises to be a day to celebrate all that is good and great about Nenagh town.

Presented by Nenagh Live in association with Tipperary Co Council, the schedule of events for Nenagh’s celebration of Ireland’s national day has just been announced.

The day will be preceded by ‘The Story of St Patrick’ live at Nenagh Castle from Monday to Thursday, March 13 to 16. This will be hosted by Tom Bán of Nenagh Live and RTÉ’s ‘Bush Kids’ fame. Over 700 primary school children will visit the Nenagh Tourist Office and visitor centre, Nenagh Heritage Centre and Nenagh Castle to hear the story of St Patrick. This is a unique experience created especially for the children of Nenagh and North Tipperary. Special sensory shows are also scheduled throughout the week.

On Thursday of next week, in association with Nenagh’s own A-Team, an autism-friendly youth disco will be held in Nenagh Gaelscoil specifically for members of the A-Team Youth Club. The A-Team is a social club for the autistic community, which aims to provide a safe space to nurture self-esteem and promote awareness through appropriate events.
