Nenagh CBS won the prestigious title of All Ireland Schools Senior Cross Country champions for the first time in Waterford last weekend.
This particular group of athletes, Tom Walshe, Jamie Moloney, Sean Hayes, Gary Scully, Cian Hodgins, Daniel Ryan Ellis, and Luke Purcell also won the National title as minors in 1st year, and last Saturday returned to the same challenging course in Waterford to win the Senior title as 6th years.
Great credit due to them and their coaches Gary Scully and Sean Finn, as it is a very difficult title to win, and the conditions underfoot were extremely challenging on Saturday. This very talented team also won a trophy for the lowest points scored on the day by any team, another incredible feat.
