The Early Medieval Irish Church

Killaloe-Ballina History Society invites you to a free talk - The Early Medieval Irish Church – in St Flannan’s Cathedral at 7.30pm on this Thursday, May 18.

The local history society is very honoured to have Luke McInerney come and talk on one of his speciality subjects. Luke is a widely published independent scholar with a particular focus on the medieval history of Gaelic Ireland. His ancillary interests include the economic and social structure of medieval lordships in Ireland; the medieval Gaelic church and the role and function of the learned class in Gaelic Ireland.

Anyone who has been on one of Luke's fascinating field trips will know what a treat is in store on Thursday night. Admission is free and all are welcome.
