Health and wellness event in Nenagh

A local online health and fitness business is staging a free health and wellness event in the Fitness Factory in Nenagh on Sunday, May 21, to raise funds for Jigsaw, the organisation that provides free mental health supports for young people aged 12 to 25 in centres around Ireland, including County Tipperary.

Matt Cooney, the owner of Nenagh based MCFutureFitness and his friends, are coming together to run the event that will be staged from 10am to 1pm.

Every year MCFuturesFitness runs a charity event to raise money for a worthy cause. The upcoming event will be the seventh occasion the company has staged a major fundraiser, already having generated a total of over €30,000 for numerous different charities over the years.

In choosing Jigsaw as the beneficiaries for the upcoming event, the Nenagh firm said it supported the vision of the charity, which is to create a country where every young person’s mental health is valued and supported.

“This is something we align with very closely at MCFutureFitness so we are delighted to be able to help raise funds and awareness for such an amazing charity,” said Matt Cooney.

There is already a great line up of events for the free health and fitness event on Sunday, May 21, including ice baths, yoga and the opportunity for a sauna.

Food stalls and coffee are all part of the many reasons to go along on the day, and there will also be an exciting line-up of guest speakers and lots of prizes and giveaways.

As well as free entry, children are also very welcome. Raffle tickets will be on sale during the event and the organisers will be accepting donations for Jigsaw.

Matt Cooney says the company has already received lots of sponsorships from local businesses in Nenagh who have kindly donated spot prizes for the day. Here’s hoping for a big turnout for such a worthy cause.
