Three-part series on mental health and wellbeing

As part of Healthy Ireland at your Library, Nenagh Library is hosting a series of face-to face-workshops run by Mid-West Aries on learning how to self-care.

It is open to anyone (aged 18+) with an interest in mental health and wellbeing. We recommend that you sign up for the entire series in order to benefit the most from these workshops. To book your place, please register on the Eventbrite website.

Self-care series part 1 is about exploring self-care, and will take place in Nenagh Library on Tuesday, June 13, from 10.30am to 1pm. During this workshop, we will explore what self-care is and isn’t, what self-care looks and feels like, the barriers to self-care and how important self-care is to building resilience and improving wellbeing and mental health.

Part 2 is Building My Self Care Toolkit and is on Tuesday, June 20, from 10.30am to 1pm. During this workshop, we will start to build our daily self-care toolkit across the first two basic wellness areas: Physical and Emotional. We will discuss the self-care strategies you already have and what new strategies you would like to try using the SMART goals approach. You will receive practical worksheets to help you develop your toolkit in our learning pack, emailed to all participants. We will also practice a number of mindfulness techniques.
