Night of nostalgia in Nenagh
Music of the '90s and '00s at The Well
A night of music, craic and nostalgia is planned for Nenagh's Well bar on Saturday, July 15, as musicians from the pub gig scene of the 1990s and early 2000s take to the stage to raise funds for local autism support group the A-Team.
The event has been organised to welcome back Nick and Jill Aungiers, who will be visiting Nenagh from New Zealand for the first time in 20 years. Nick played guitar in a number of bands during the '90s, including Rhythm Method, Ambition, Distant Light, South of Heaven, Crush and The Indelicates.
He will take to the stage once again on July 15 with a group of local musicians for a once-off gig billed as a 'Blast from the Past'. The Joyful Mysteries will kick things off on the night with music from The Stunning, Nirvana and REM, to name a few, before Nick & Co take the stage.
The headline act on the night will be highly-rated Rage Against the Machine tribute act Feckin Raging. A four-piece Irish Rap Metal tribute band from Tipperary, they formed last year through a mutual love and respect for legendary guitarist Tom Morello. Having fine-combed through Rage Against the Machine's catalogue, Feckin Raging deliver the ultimate classic setlist spanning across all legendary albums.
We hope that you can make it to The Well this Saturday and join us for a great night's entertainment as we try to remember just what the hell actually happened back in the day!
There will be a €5 cover charge on the night with all proceeds going to support the A-Team Youth Club, a volunteer-run organisation of social groups and youth clubs for children and young people with autism in the North Tipperary area.
Music from 9.30pm.
