Hibernian Inn Senior Hurling Championship

Congratulations to Nenagh Eire Og who claimed their 11th North Senior title last Saturday in Dolla after a 0-21 to 0-17 victory over Kiladangan. Eire Og captain Barry Heffernan accepted the Frank McGrath cup after the game whilst Conor Hennessy was named as The Watch Centre Man of the Match.

Savvy Kitchens Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship

Congratulations to Lorrha who defeated Burgess last Sunday in Nenagh on a 4-15 to 2-16 scoreline in the North Premier Intermediate Final. Lorrha captain Michael Dolan was presented with the Liam Devaney Cup after the game whilst Patrick Maher was named as The Watch Centre Man of the Match.

Kelly’s of Fantane Intermediate Hurling Championship

Congratulations to Moneygall who claimed their seventh North Intermediate title last Sunday in Toomevara after a 3-15 to 0-11 victory over Borrisokane. Moneygall captain Adam Hogan accepted the Fr Hewitt Cup after the game whilst Joe Fogarty was named as The Watch Centre Man of the Match.

Watch Centre Junior 'A' Hurling Championship

Round 4 took place last weekend. Ballinahinch continued their impressive form last Friday evening in Toomevara where they had a comfortable 3-14 to 1-8 victory over Nenagh Eire Og. Roscrea had a slender 2-17 to 2-16 victory over Borris-Ileigh in Cloughjordan.

Toomevara had a 2-26 to 1-18 victory over Kilruane MacDonaghs in the remaining game of the round which took place last Monday. Toome were comfortable throughout, having led 1-17 to 0-8 at half time.

Round 5 will take place on Friday, August 4th - Toomevara v Nenagh Eire Og in Cloughjordan, Borris-Ileigh v Ballinahinch in Toomevara and Roscrea and Kilruane MacDonaghs in Nenagh. The top four teams in the group progress straight to the semi-finals.

Watch Centre Junior 'B' Hurling Championship

The quarter finals took place last weekend. On Saturday, Lorrha had a home victory over Toomevara - 2-19 to 1-17. Toome had the better of the first half and led at half time - 1-11 to 0-9 - with their goal coming from Ken Dunne. Toome held onto their lead until the 55th minute when a David Fogarty goal for Lorrha levelled the game. Fogarty scored his second goal four minutes later to bring their lead to three and they added two more points to secure victory.

The second quarter final took place last Sunday in Puckane where Kiladangan had a 2-14 to 1-13 victory over Ballina. Kiladangan led 2-9 to 1-4 at half time with Paul Seymour and Tom McLoughlin the goal scorers for the home side. Ballina did outscore their opponents in the second half, but Kiladangan held out for victory.

The semi-finals will take place on Saturday 5th August at 7.00pm - Knockshegowna host Lorrha in Ballingarry whilst the venue is yet to be determined for the clash of Kiladangan v Moneygall.

Ger Gavin Under 19 'A' Hurling Championship

Round 3 takes place this Wednesday 26th July at 7.00pm - Borris-Ileigh host Nenagh Éire Óg whilst Roscrea host Toomevara.

Ger Gavin Under 19 'B' Hurling Championship

In Group 1, Burgess will commence their championship campaign this Wednesday 26th when they take on Ballinahinch-Templederry in Templederry at 8.00pm.

Both Group 2 games will throw in at 7.00pm on Wednesday 26th July - Borrisokane host Silvermines whilst Newport host Kilruane MacDonaghs. Lorrha Rovers have the bye in this round.

Ger Gavin Under 19 'A' Football Championship

Clonakenny/Moneygall defeated Newport 2-12 to 2-6 last Wednesday in the semi-final of the North Under 19 'A' Football Championship. They will now take on Ballina in the final which with date, time and venue yet to be finalised.

Ger Gavin Under 19 'B' Football Championship

Congratulations to Kilruane MacDonaghs who claimed the North Under 19 'B' Football Championship title last Wednesday with a comfortable 4-9 to 1-7 victory over Roscrea in Borrisokane. See match report. Kilruane captain Eoin Carroll accepted the cup after the game from North Board member Brid Morris.
