Birdhill-Ballina road closure

Through traffic from Birdhill to Ballina using the R494 will be disrupted for a period of nine months from the beginning of August to facilitate the ongoing work on the construction of the realignment of the Birdhill-Ballina road, which is being carried out in conjunction with the construction of the new crossing of the Shannon at Ballina-Killaloe.

The closure will be applied to the road from the Birdhill Roundabout to the junction with the R496 at Ballina from this Friday, August 4 until May 3, 2024.
