The late Dillon Quirke will have Clonoulty/Rossmore GAA grounds named in his honour

Dillon Quirke anniversary this Saturday in Clonoulty

It is hard to believe that we are coming up on a year since the sudden passing of Clonoulty/Rossmore and Tipperary hurler Dillon Quirke on the field of play left everyone numb with grief.

Friday, August 5th, 2022, is a date that will never be forgotten when he passed away during his clubs county senior hurling championship clash with Kilruane MacDonaghs at Semple Stadium.

This Saturday, 5th August, a year to the day since his passing, a mass will be offered in the GAA grounds in Clonoulty to celebrate Dillon's life. In acknowledgement of the esteem in which Dillon was held in Clonoulty/Rossmore, the GAA club are renaming their club grounds in his honour and GAA President Larry McCarthy will be present to officially unveil the plaque for Dillon Quirke GAA grounds.

The club are extending an invitation to everyone to attend this Saturday, August 5th at 5.00pm in Clonoulty (E25CK44), which will be followed by mass in the grounds.
