Palestinian solidarity rally in Roscrea

A Palestinian solidarity rally will be held in Roscrea from 6.30pm this evening outside Shaws on Castle Street.

It follows recent demonstrations organised by local groups in Thurles and Nenagh.

Meanwhile, a moment of silence was observed at the October meeting of Tipperary Co Council for the families of all who have lost ones in the war between Israel and Hamas.

Cllr Marie Murphy proposed a call from the council for all sides to the conflict to cease hostilities immediately and for the necessary humanitarian aid to be let in to Gaza as soon as possible.
