Build a good appetite for dinner by taking part in the Christmas Day Charity Run in Nenagh.

On your marks for the Christmas Day Run in Nenagh

It’s that time of the year again to gear up for the Christmas Day Charity Run, which will be staged in Nenagh.

The 5km run will start at the CBS track at 11am along a route out the Borrisokane Road via Ballyvillane, before turning back in towards town again to finish back at the track via Dromin Road.

The run has now been going for over four decades and the chief organiser, Tony Hassett, is hoping that there will be a big turnout on the day.

It’s a great way to build up an appetite for the festive dinner and those taking part can also cycle or walk the route.

Funds, as usual, will go to the Nenagh Day Care Centre, which provides invaluable support to older people and their families in the community. The run has raised thousands of euro for the centre since first established.

There is no entry fee, but there will be a bucket collection on the day.

There will lots of spot prizes handed out. So, come along and enjoy.
