Patrick McKeogh (16) of Inchadrinagh, Ballina, died in an accident on his family’s farm in 2021. New regulations on the use of quad bikes have been introduced as a result of Patrick’s accident.

Tractor run in memory of Patrick

The third annual Patrick McKeogh Tractor Run takes place on Sunday, December 17, starting at 1pm from Ballina GAA field.

This year's fundraising all goes to the Irish Cancer Society. Over 100 tractors have taken part each year in this event and it is growing in popularity. This year we are hoping to have a large selection of trucks and lorries taking part.

This year's run will travel through the three counties of Tipperary, Clare and Limerick, finishing back in Ballina. That night a monster auction is organised in Liam Ó RiaIn's pub in Ballina, starting at 8.30pm, with this year’s items starting with a top-bred spring calving Friesian heifer. Also, several trailers of timber, half-ton bags of timber, several tons of animal feed, jackets, hats, body warmers from all tractor and machinery makes. All these items have been kindly donated to the fund.
