Conor Molloy, has won the Liam Donnelly Medal.

Top accounting award for Tipp student

Clonmel native, Conor Molloy, has won the Liam Donnelly Medal recognising his achievement as the top performing student in the 2023 CPA Ireland exams. The award was presented at the conferring ceremony in UCD, Dublin on Saturday.

In addition to receiving this award Conor was also recognised for his achievements on receiving the highest marks nationwide in three separate exams, they were Advanced Financial Reporting sponsored by Fitzgerald & Partners; Advanced Audit and Assurance sponsored by OCMC and Assurance and Advanced Tax Strategy exam sponsored by Quantas Advisory.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mark Gargan, President of CPA Ireland, commended the graduating group. “For those joining the accountancy profession today they are entering an evolving industry with many exciting prospects. For many years’ now our graduating classes have enjoyed close to full employment and that continues in 2023.

“In conjunction with our sponsors, CPA Ireland each year presents awards to those students who have achieved the highest examination mark in each subject for the CPA examinations.
