Important shows for First and Fifth Years

First and Fifth Year students recently enjoyed powerful performances by Mike O'Sullivan of Humourfit Productions.

Firstly, the theme of bullying and mental health took centre stage for First Years with the piece ‘The Mighty Bully Brady’. This is a 90-minute play where the bully and victim are seen through the eyes of one actor. We are reminded of the importance of being kind, and that all of our words and actions have consequences. Our school is a proud supporter of the Choose Respect campaign, and students are reminded that being respectful or otherwise is a choice, and we encourage them at all times to make the right choice.

The theme of road safety was explored for fifth years through the performance of ‘Slow Down’. Mike developed this piece, inspired by a true story, to highlight the dangers of reckless driving and show the tragic outcomes if care is not taken when behind the wheel. A timely reminder to all to slow down and be safe on our roads.
