Announcement due for Nenagh site

Tipperary Co Council is to announce plans for developing its land at Stereame, Nenagh.

At the December meeting of Nenagh Municipal District, Cllr Séamie Morris was disappointed to see caravans parking at Stereame again. He welcomed, however, the recent opening of the McDonald's restaurant at a long-vacant building at the site with the creation of more than 70 jobs.

Cllr Morris sought an update on the council's plans for developing housing at Stereame.

District Director Marcus O'Connor replied that the council is in "advanced" discussions with a builder and hoped to make an announcement early in the new year.
