Burglaries in Portroe and Dromineer

Burglaries in Portroe and Dromineer are being investigated by gardaí in Nenagh. A scrambler and a quantity of tools were stolen from a shed at the Drom Slinne housing estate, Portroe.

The other burglary occurred at Shannonvale, Dromineer, where a number of items were also stolen from a shed. The haul included a bicycle, a trailer and a selection of unnamed items.

“Gardaí are keen to speak to anyone who might have information in relation to these incidents and to contact us at Nenagh Garda Station,” urged Sergeant Declan O’ Carroll.

The burglary in Portroe occurred on the morning of February 27 and the one in Dromineer between February 28 and March 2.

Gardaí are also seeking the public’s help over an incident of criminal damage at Kilfadda, Lorrha, on February 29 when a fuel line to an excavator was severed.

Meanwhile, people in Nenagh district continue to be victims of phishing scams, the latest involving the theft of €700 from the bank account of an individual who communicated with a criminal posing as a representative of a financial institution.
