Ballycommon treatment plant upgrade

Tipperary Co Council is contacting Uisce Éireann over the wastewater treatment plant serving Ballycommon, which is due for upgrade.

Cllr Séamie Morris told the March meeting of the council's Nenagh Municipal District that the plant was to have been upgraded before last Christmas. Cllr Morris said he has been told that all attempts to remedy the capacity issue at the plant have failed and tanks are still being removed twice daily and brought to Nenagh, at huge cost.

Executive Planner Jonathan Flood said the council would write to Uisce Éireann and seek an updated report on the situation.
