Nenagh Choral Society at the AIMS Awards

Members of Nenagh Choral Society and NCS Youth Academy travelled to Killarney last weekend to celebrate the incredible feat of receiving three nominations for the AIMS Awards, hosted on Saturday, June 15.

Legally Blonde, the production of our Youth Academy, received nominations for Best Choreography and for Best Ensemble for the ‘Whipped Into Shape’ scene. Beauty and the Beast was nominated for the Best Programme Award.

Máire Long represented us on stage for Best Programme after her Trojan work with the programmes for both shows alongside her sister Áine Long. Stephanie Browne, leading the unbelievable cast as both director and choreographer for the NSCYA show, represented the Legally Blonde nominations.

With these three prestigious award nominations for the society, Nenagh Choral Society was honoured to return with overall winner of Best Programme, and runners-up for Best Ensemble and Best Choreography with NCSYA.

This was an amazing achievement and honour for both societies, acknowledging the hard work and commitment it takes to put on two shows over the year. We would like to thank everyone who made this possible over last year’s season, from sponsors, those working behind the scenes, to those on stage themselves; their blood sweat and tears that went into producing two top quality shows in Legally Blonde and Beauty and the Beast. With preparations underway for the 2024/2025 season, we look forward to beginning again with the Youth Academy’s Shrek rehearsals commencing soon. Keep an eye on our social media for further updates!
