Callout for Killaloe Coast Guard Unit

At 2.50pm on Monday, June 10, Killaloe Coast Guard Unit was tasked to assist a 38-foot cruiser, with two adults and three children on board, that was experiencing engine problems 2km north of Killaloe.

A boat crew responded from the Pier Head and made contact with the vessel within minutes. A crew member was transferred on board the vessel and following an examination, it was decided to take the vessel on tow back to Killaloe where a shore team awaited and secured a safe mooring.

At 4.30pm the crew returned to base and equipment was prepared for the next callout.
