Hannigan’s electoral success celebration

Cllr Joe Hannigan’s  re-election to Tipperary County Council marks his third consecutive term topping the poll, and this remarkable achievement was celebrated with a jubilant gathering at Hannigan's Bar in Kilbarron the day following the election count.

Having been declared elected very early on Sunday morning, the traditional welcome back to the village was adjourned until the following evening.

Speaking at the celebration, campaign team member, John Joe Conwell, lauded Joe's re-election as a testament to the unwavering dedication and hard work he has shown over the years. Conwell highlighted the substantial support from Joe's highly respected family and the wider community, which has consistently bolstered his electoral success. He spoke of Joe’s unique ability to connect with people on an individual basis and mentioned how he would stop at nothing to solve a problem brought by a constituent.

Addressing the large and enthusiastic crowd, Joe himself expressed profound gratitude to his family for their steadfast support and tireless efforts throughout the campaign. “I also owe a massive appreciation to my dedicated team of canvassers and support team who travelled the highways and byways over the past four weeks, putting up posters, distributing leaflets, and knocking on doors asking for support,” he said.

Looking ahead to his next term, Joe pledged to continue working tirelessly for his constituents. “I am committed to giving my energy and dedication to addressing the many and varied issues we are now facing,” he stated. His promise to serve with unwavering commitment and focus on the needs of the community was met with resounding applause.
