The Watch Centre Junior 'A' Hurling Championship: continued last week with the round 3 games.

Nenagh Eire Og and Borris-Ileigh faced off last Friday in Toomevara with Eire Og winning 4-25 to 3-20.

Eire Og were far more threatening in front of goal and found the back of the net after four minutes through Cian O'Farrell. Borris responded with a goal of their own courtesy of David O'Connor. Eire Og dominated the running game throughout second quarter with Borris relying on frees and a second goal thanks to Matthew Stapleton as the game remained level after 20 minutes (2-7 to 1-10). Eire Og went into the break with a slender 1-15 to 2-11 lead. The key moment of the game occurred on the 33rd minute when a Nenagh free rebounded off the post and Zac Keller responded quickest for a goal that turned the game with Eire Og dominating the third quarter scoring a third goal after 41 minutes by Stevie Hallinan. Darragh Walsh scored Eire Og's fourth goal in the 50th minute. A minute later, Thomas Fahy reduced the lead to six points with a goal for Borris. Darragh Walsh ended up as top scorer for Eire Og with 1-11 (4 frees, 1'65) with the town side having a spread of nine scorers. David O'Connor finished with 1-4 for Borris whilst Matthew Stapleton chipped in with 1-3.

Toomevara had a hard earned 0-19 to 1-13 victory over Ballinahinch last Friday in Puckane. Toome started well with Michael Brislane and Sean Flaherty to the fore. The greyhounds held the lead at half time but a John Foley goal early in the second half levelled the score - 1-11 to 0-14. However, Toome's greater scoring threat helped them to victory with Brislane (0-4), Sean Flaherty (0-5) and Tim Flaherty (0-3) the danger men up front for the victors.

The final game in the round took place on Monday in Cloughjordan where Kiladangan had a 3-15 to 2-12 victory over Roscrea. Kiladangan started brightly and held a 1-4 to 0-2 lead after ten minutes with Dan O'Meara the goal-scorer and went into half time with a 1-9 to 0-6 lead. Jack Lee gave Roscrea an ideal start to the second half with a great goal. However, Conor Culhane responded with a Kiladangan goal three minutes later with a great finish. This gave Kiladangan a cushion and they further extended the lead in the 52nd minute with Eoin Meagher finishing to the net after a scramble in the square. Mickey Ryan scored Roscrea's second goal in the 58th minute.

The round 4 games take place this Friday 28th June with games throwing in at 7.30pm. Ballinahinch face Roscrea in Borrisoleigh, Toomevara face Kilruane MacDonaghs in Roscrea whilst Kiladangan face Borris-Ileigh in Nenagh. Entry to all games is via tap and go. Nenagh Eire Og have the bye.
