‘Collective’ art exhibition at Nenagh Library

Nenagh Library is hosting the debut exhibition of the North Tipperary Artists Collective (NTAC), which opened on June 19 and will run until to July 31.

The exhibition showcases depictions of daily life and the beauty of our surroundings. The exhibition will be launched by Virginia O’Dowd from 6pm to 7.30pm on Tuesday, July 2.

The North Tipperary Artists Collective is a diverse group of over 80 creatives - 29 of these local artists will be showing their work together for the first time in ‘Collective’. NTAC was formed in June 2023 and meets monthly as part of the artists coffee morning.

Nenagh Arts Centre kindly facilitates the free coffee morning on the first Friday of every month, with a summer break in July and August. The members of the group are from all walks of life. Artists of all ages and stages, professional and rising stars alike.

The artists came together to form the collective to support each other by sharing their experiences, exchanging views and advising each other of potential opportunities. Their ambition is to enrich the art and cultural life of North Tipperary by securing an appropriate permanent exhibition space to showcase the work of local, national and international visual and other artists, as well as the work of the community.

In the work exhibited, the observer can see the waxy hue of freshly picked apples, the rippling movement of the ocean and clouds, be enchanted by the beauty and colours of flowers as well as the docile majesty of farm animals. These pieces are created from a wide range of media, from paint to photography, from mixed media to ceramics and from realistic to abstract. ‘Collective’ is a summons to the senses that will surprise visitors with the colourful accents, picturesque surfaces and finishing touches in mild to vibrant forms.

North Tipperary Artists' debut exhibition, ‘Collective,’ will be held at Nenagh Library until July 31. All are welcome to the launch on Tuesday, July 2, at 6pm. The perfect opportunity to meet the artists and discuss their work.
