Lots of fun to be had at the Brian Boru Festival starting in Ballina-Killaloe this Wednesday, July 3, and running until Sunday, July 7

It's festival time in Ballina-Killaloe

The annual Féile Brian Ború will run from July 3 to July 7, and offers a wide range of activities suitable for all age groups.

The opening event - Guided Historical Walk with Killaloe Heritage tours - will start at 7.30pm on Wednesday evening from outside the Killaloe Tourist Office on The Bridge.

Over the following three days, events will take place at Killaloe Ballina Community and Family Resource Centre, The Bridge Creative Arts Centre, Brian Ború on the Hill, Cathedral Quay, McKeogh’s Car Park, Riverside Pool, Riverside Park, Cathedral Quay, The Green opposite Flanagan’s, Smith O’Brian GAA pitch, and Killaloe-Ballina Community Garden.

The Vikings will descend on the twin towns throughout the festival and will be active in the Viking Village on Cathedral Quay from 12 noon on Saturday and Sunday. Wristbands, required for participation in some events, will be on sale at the Viking Village.
