Joey Sheridan and Denis Hogan won the nine furlong maiden at Ballinrobe on Monday week last with Expound.

The 5/1 chance, owned by the Corner House Syndicate, was always prominent before keeping on well for a half-length success.

Ben Coen was also on the mark, riding the Mrs Denise Foster trained Desert Friend to win the thirteen-furlong handicap. Owned by the Magnificent Eight Syndicate, the 11/2 chance just held on to beat Mayo For Sam a head.

Aidan O'Brien and Ryan Moore won the opening five-furlong fillies maiden at Naas on Wednesday with odds-on favourite Merrily. Owned by Derrick Smith, Mrs John Magnier and Michael Tabor, the daughter of No Nay Never stayed on well to win by a-length-and-a-quarter.

Wayne Hassett partnered the David Richard Barry owned and trained Turn Up The Beat to win the five-furlong handicap on the same card. The 25/1 chance led close home to win by half-a-length.

Ben Coen was another premier county rider to taste success on the night, partnering the Johnny Murtagh trained Hanalia to win the ten-furlong Oaks Trail. Owned by the Aga Khan, the 16/1 chance stayed on well to record a three-quarter-length victory.

Aidan O'Brien and Ryan Moore won the seven-furlong juvenile maiden at the Curragh on Friday with Lake Victoria. Owned by Michael Tabor, Derrick Smith, and Mrs John Magnier, the filly held the late challenge of fellow joint-favourite Red Letter to prevail by a head.

Ben Coen later rode Siege Of Troy to win the ten-furlong maiden. Trained by Johnny Murtagh, the well backed 6/4 favourite carried the colours of Qatar Racing Limited to a one-and-a-quarter-length success.

Aidan O'Brien and Ryan Moore won the Group 2 six-furlong stakes at the Curragh on Saturday with Truly Enchanting. Owned By Mrs John Magnier, Michael Tabor and Derrick Smith, the 2/1 favourite had to work hard to see off California Dreamer by half-a-length.

O'Brien and Moore registered a quick double when Jan Brueghel landed the Group 3 ten-furlong stakes that followed. Owned by Westerberg, Mrs J Magnier, M Tabor, D Smith, the odds-on favourite saw off Trustyourinstinct by a neck.

Aidan O'Brien won the Group 2 six-furlong juvenile stakes at the Curragh on Sunday with Henri Matisse. Despite being sent off the 8/1 outsider, the Wayne Lordan partnered colt carried the colours of Mrs John Magnier, Michael Tabor, Derrick Smith and Merriebelle Irish Farm Limited to a half-length success.

Joseph Murphy was also amongst the winners, with Lord Massusus being successful in the one-mile listed stakes under Gary Carroll. The 10/1 chance stayed on strongly in the colours of John Bourke to win by two-and-a-half lengths.

Los Angeles credited Aidan O'Brien with a record 16th Irish Derby. Ridden by Ryan Moore, the 13/8 favourite stayed on strongly inside the final furlong to win by three-quarters-of-a-length for owners Westerberg, Mrs J Magnier, M Tabor, D Smith.

Gavin Ryan was also amongst the winners on Derby day, guiding the Thomas Gibney trained Booyea to a three-quarter-length win in the one-mile premier handicap. The 12/1 chance was owned by the Ballinlough Syndicate.
