Works by local artist Jacinta Glasgow will be on exhibtion at the Thomas MacDonagh Museum in Cloughjordan from this coming Saturday to August 16.

Art exhibition to open in Cloughjordan this Saturday

Jacinta Glasgow, nurse manager and healing therapist, combines a career in caring with the healing power of art.

Her recent successful exhibition, “Inner Stillness- Achieving Balance” displayed at the Nenagh Arts Centre, has been extended and moves to The Thomas MacDonagh Museum, Cloughjordan.

The exhibition is a collection of colourful, uplifting works in acrylic on canvas, depicting vibrant therapeutic images inspired by the natural world and inner journeys.

Jacinta, a native of Limerick, combines a passion for caring and creativity in her painting work.

Jacinta has almost 40 years healthcare and also holistic therapy experience as a certified clinical reflexologist and energy healing therapist.

This artist expresses and channels the compassion, emotions and resilience gained from nursing and the caring profession into the painting works she creates, and understands the importance of balancing work and self-care. Walking in nature, working in the garden and the joy of singing as well as family and friends are a source of inspiration.

VIBRANT COLOUR

The artist’s paintings are infused with vibrant colour and healing, connecting the viewer into a sense of oneness with the art displayed. The artist uses a contemplative meditative style to convey emotions and draws on Jungian symbolism, travel and inner journeys to achieve balance.

Jacinta has exhibited nationally and internationally and her work is on display in local hospitals, in addition to private collections in Ireland and Europe.

The artist’s holistic healing centre “A Gift of Healing,” in Cloughjordan, combines her creativity and healing practices.

Glasgow’s exhibition “Inner Stillness - Achieving Balance”, will be launched at 6.30pm on July 6 at the Thomas MacDonagh Museum, Cloughjordan. Admission is free, all are welcome.

The exhibition will run from July 6 to August 16. Why not call in, and combine an exploration of the local history collection and pause to view the painting exhibition in an oasis of calm and serenity and be inspired by the display. Browsers are very welcome.
