A huge influx of people is expected to descend on Thurles for the Munster Fleadh Cheoil which runs from this Sunday, July 14 to 20.

Held in the Cathedral Town previously in 1968 and 1979, there will be a wide array of events around Thurles apart from the various competitions, including a Ukrainian musical evening on Monday in The Source.

The week opens with a free event Tradult in the county Bar at 4pm on Sunday with a concert in The Monks later at 7pm.
