Aussie bound Moloney looking forward to Tipp return

Tipperary ensured that they would play Senior Football in 2025 after they defeated Laois in Callanan on Saturday afternoon.

The victors top-scorer Aishling Moloney spoke about her thoughts on the game and their campaign as a whole.

“It was kind of tough, I suppose,” she began.

“With three in a group, it's really, really hard. We know exactly how Laois feel being in their position. It certainly was a position that we felt that we could push on a bit further and not end up going to next weekend facing Donegal or Kildare. We're delighted now that we got the win.”

Moloney and her teammates will probably feel as if they shouldn’t have been in that position having drawn to Armagh and coming up short against Meath to put them into the relegation section.

“With the Meath game, I think we probably would have robbed it off them, to be honest,” she added.

“We weren't playing to our best ability, but definitely in the Armagh game, we should have taken that away.

“But, you know, we have a lot of young girls in the team, and I think that just comes with experience. So hopefully, you know, in another two or three years, we might be getting them ones over the line.”

Moloney, who is heading back down under for the AFLW season, is already looking forward to joining back up with the Tipperary girls for next year and hopefully making sure they make the knockout stages next year.

“We're all here and we're looking forward to getting going again next year,” she insisted.

“Get back to your clubs and look forward to everyone getting back together now in November and get going again.”
