Toomevara and Borris-Ileigh played out a 1-13 to 0-16 draw in Dolla. Borris started the sharper opening a 0-5 to 0-2 lead but a Tim Flaherty goal on fourteen minutes levelled proceedings. The sides traded points for the remaining of the half with Toome ahead 1-8 to 0-10 at the interval.

Toome brought their lead to three points by the 40th minute but with Tommy Fahy prominent from place balls, Borris reduced the deficit. The teams remained evenly matched as the sixty minutes expired, Toome missing a last ditch free to win the game.

The second game saw Ballinahinch defeat Kilruane MacDonaghs 2-16 to 2-13 in Toomevara. Ballinahinch led 0-11 to 0-6 at half time and held a nine point lead at the three quarter mark. Kilruane responded well with two Eoin Carroll goals and had Ballinahinch's lead cut down to one point going into the closing stages. However, two Ballinahinch points in injury time secured victory.
