For the Children of Gaza Flotilla

Former MEP and Senator Grace O’Sullivan will this week join the Freedom Flotilla Coalition’s 'For the Children of Gaza' mission in the Mediterranean. The mission will be sailing and campaigning between ports, calling for immediate action to end the violence in Gaza.

“The focus of this mission is on the children of Gaza - the most innocent and vulnerable in this conflict. They are now facing survival against famine, more bombs, unending violence, and lack of adequate healthcare when it is needed most. For those that have survived, their trauma will stay with them for the rest of their lives, and we cannot stay quiet as their turmoil continues without consequence” Ms O’Sullivan shared.

O’Sullivan will be in port in Martigues, near Marseille, France on Monday and Tuesday, July 22 and 23. She will sail from Martigues to Ajaccio, Corsica with an expected arrival on Thursday, July 25, into Ajaccio. She will be sharing clips and further information about the 'For the Children of Gaza' mission on her social media.

The Freedom Flotilla Coalition originated as a campaign to end the blockade on Gaza, first succeeding in August 2008 to deliver aid and supplies to the territory. Many missions over the years have been blocked both diplomatically and by force from taking place. In 2010, the Flotilla sailing was attacked, resulting in 10 deaths and dozens of injuries, as well as world-wide outrage.
