The first houses built by the Urban District Council in the Park were 1-12 Park View East and 1-10 Park Road, with the keys being handed over to tenants in 1950. Of the 22 original families that moved in, just three remain living in the same houses, all on Park View East - Hartigans, Bergins and Quinlans. Houses 1-10 on Marian Road were built in 1954, 11-14 in 1966 while houses 15-26 were completed in 1967. This photo shows members of Templemore UDC handing over the keys of 18 Marian Road to the Cummins family.
